Put on your bell bottoms, dig out your beads, and come down to St. Kieran Arts Center next Thursday the July 24th at 7 pm and be transported back to the 60s. Boston based "60s invasion" brings great music and fond memories of the singers and bands "we all knew and loved."Tickets are $12 and $6 and will be sold "at the door". Offering up a fast-paced, exciting concert from the best of the 60's, the band celebrates the legacy of America's Rock in Roll Decade with selections from the Beatles, The Byrds, The Grass Roots, The Ventures, Elvis Presley and whole lot more. The 60's Invasion also plays some of the popular Television Show Themes and does fun impersonations of favorite 60's stars for everyone's enjoyment. You can expect a lot of audience participation and interaction as they present The History of Rock and Roll, discuss key 60's social and sporting events, and keep the music and great entertainment flowing all night long.
60's Invasion brings together four of Boston's best musicians. Dave Vose: Drums and Vocals, has performed and travelled with the Drifters, Freddy Cannon and Freedom and is currently a professor at Berklee College of Music in Boston. Bob Cleary: Guitar and Vocals, has shared the stage with Rex Trailer, Henry "the Fonz" Winkler and Jimmy DelPonte from radio station KISS 108. Dave Dunham: Vocals, Guitar and Keyboard, began performing at 15 with such bands as Other Choices, Plum Loco and Morning Hours and Jack Little:
Bass Guitar and Vocals, has an extensive background in brass instrumentation, jazz, and has performed original music with Paintbox.
