It's been an amazing fortnight, capped by the SocialEyez/MEPRA workshop
this morning. What a turnout. Over 100 people from major corporations,
government agencies, PR firms and social agencies showed up to hear the
latest on social media measurement standards. What an incredibly
feeling to know that our standards efforts are being taken seriously in
so many parts of the world. Read the rest of this final installment of Katie Paine's trip to Dubai, with plenty of photos, at Katie Paine's Measurement blog.

Among my favorite is Traackr, a tool that uses a complex system of automation supplemented with human analysts to determine who is most influential in your specific market niche or category. (Here's a slide show.) While this is something the humans at KDPaine & Partners have been doing for years, the notion that someone else could make it easier for me is very intriguing.
Another cool tool for you metrics types is PostRank, a way people are now prioritizing their contacts and figuring out who is important and who isn’t. -- Katie Delahaye Paine
“Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many… Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders... But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.” —Gautama Buddha
