The Measurement Standard is only interested in articles concerning monitoring, measurement, and analysis of public relations and social media, including those on social and digital marketing measurement. We welcome case studies of how measurement has been used to improve programs, reviews of tools and techniques, and insights on industry opportunities and challenges. We are looking for articles that have not been published elsewhere, but we do make occasional exceptions. We are especially interested in articles about measurement in cultures and locations other than North America, but articles must be in English.
We are typically not interested in articles that appear to have a primary purpose to promote a particular company, service, or product. We do not accept pay-per-post articles or advertising of any sort.
Send your articles to The Editor, Bill Paarlberg (billp at paarlberg dot com). We reserve the right to reject articles for any reason that seems valid to us, and without explanation or discussion. Articles should typically be between 500 and 2000 words, and should include an author head shot and brief bio to be published with the article.
We do not pay for articles, or compensate authors in any way, except to provide exposure to thousands of public relations and social media professionals. At the present time The Measurement Standard is visited by about 8000 readers per month.
The Measurement Standard is published monthly, on or about the 15th of the month, with an email issue summary to our subscriber list. At the present time, our subscriber list is about eight thousand names. Copy deadline for each issue is the first of the month of publication, although articles may be submitted at any time. Articles are posted as they are edited.

“Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many… Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders... But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.”
