News Group strengthens U.S. presence with wins at SNCR awards.
News Group International, the Dubai-based worldwide leader in media monitoring, measurement, and insight has won prestigious SNCR Excellence Awards for their work in social media measurement from the Society for New Communications Research (SNCR). The prestigious awards program honors individuals and organizations that pioneer the use of social media and Internet communications technologies.
SocialEyez, the MENA’s Leading social media agency was awarded an Excellence Award in the Corporate category for its work with Etisalat, a global emerging-markets telecom company with 140 million customers across Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. SocialEyez not only monitored and measured Etisalat’s image with its customers, but also identified opportunities for improvement and implemented a solution that resulted in a decline in negative conversation and an increase in favorable engagement.
SocialEyez also won an Excellence Award in the Government category for its work with Emirates ID Authority (EIDA) introducing a universal ID card to the residents of the United Arab Emirates. Its sophisticated advanced listening program identified areas of confusion about the ID card, and then worked with EIDA to engage and diffuse the objections.
KDPaine & Partners, Inc., a division of News Group’s Salience Insight, won an Excellence Award in the Non-profit category for work commissioned by an international non-profit to define and set engagement definitions.

The SNCR Excellence in New Communications Awards is a highly competitive program that honors the best individuals and organizations that are pioneering the use of social in the areas of business, media, journalism and professional communications, entertainment, education, social initiatives, government, and politics. Awards were granted in six divisions: Corporate, Government, Media, Nonprofit/NGO, Academic, and Technology Innovation. Award nominations were submitted as case studies, and reviewed by a panel of SNCR Fellows. In addition to the top award winners in each division and category, Commendations of Merit and Commendations of Excellence were presented to nearly 11 other organizations that submitted case studies in the awards program. In its seven-year history, SNCR has honored nearly 200 organizations and individuals through this prestigious awards program and all the winning case studies will be published on http://sncr.org.
