I was recently privileged to be the keynote speaker at the Third Tuesday Measurement Matters conference in Toronto October 18th (#TTMM). I also spoke at Monitoring Social Media in Boston (#SMM10). Both were eye-popping in terms of the number of new tools being discussed.
Among my favorite is Traackr, a tool that uses a complex system of automation supplemented with human analysts to determine who is most influential in your specific market niche or category. (Here's a slide show.) While this is something the humans at KDPaine & Partners have been doing for years, the notion that someone else could make it easier for me is very intriguing.
Another cool tool for you metrics types is PostRank, a way people are now prioritizing their contacts and figuring out who is important and who isn’t. -- Katie Delahaye Paine
