You have engagement fully measured,
now calculate the resulting treasure!
Most of the time when I'm asked to sit on panels or judge case studies, I can almost always suggest ways the panelists can improve their measurement programs. But (the requirement to judge it in rhyme notwithstanding) the four non-profit communications directors that served as panelists on the SXSW Non-Profit Poetry Slam were already doing such a good job of measuring ROI, I had no choice but to name them all Measurement Mavens (especially because they told their stories in rhyme!):
- Danielle Brigida, from the National Wildlife Federation
- Carrie Lewis, from The Humane Society of the United States
- Wendy Harman, from the American Red Cross
- David Neff, from the American Cancer Society
For more information on SXSW Interactive, see the main site here.
For excellent coverage of the Slam, visit organizer Beth Kanter's blog, where you'll find an entertaining and informative slide show and the text of all the poems. --KDP

“Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many… Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders... But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.”
