I ran across this blog post when I googled "PR Blacklist." Having just removed myself from the Cision list, I was just starting to breathe a spam-free sigh of release when I received the epitome of inappropriate stupid bad pitches. One Kathryn Kelly at CWR Partners somehow thought I would be interested in a ridiculous story about a plastic surgeon. I never did figure out why she thought it might interest me. I did, in fact, investigate the IP address and discovered that it came from Vocus disguised as PRNews2.com. I immediately blocked the address as spam in Google and Outlook. Apparently, I'm not alone.
