And you thought PR research was boring

  • Miami_001
Live, from poolside in Miami -- its the International Public Relations Research Conference! Most of the luminaries in public relations research will be sharing their most recent results over the next few days. At night the talk about ways to evaluate our work continues with the creativity of the metrics increasing in direct correlation with the amount of alcohol consumed.

    Thank you and an explanation.

A great many people contributed to saving Shankhassick that don't even know me or know the story, and that has been truly a humbling experience. Some people have also written to me to ask why anyone would be so dumb as to write a check to me, and that is also humbling. Either way, what is true is that far more money gets raised in my living room than I could ever write a check for. I've never charged anyone for the use of my home, and as a result many many people and causes have raised many thousands of dollars.

I was, and still am, extremely uncomfortable with going public with my plight. But my friends, who supported me thru fire, breast cancer, and all the other traumas I've gone thru essentially told me: "You've never asked for anything back. Now is the time."

And for that, and all the response, I am extremely grateful.
